ANDRZEJ FOGTT (born in 1950) graduated in 1974 from the PWSSP in Poznan (Poland). He studied in the atelier of prof. Zdzislaw Kepinski and prof. Magdalena Abakanowicz. Initially, his art was considered to reprsent so called "New Figuration", but later, he developed his own individual artistic language. His paintings are covered with colorful expressive spots and create an illusion of three-dimensional space.
In 1984, Fogtt won the Grand Prix at the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin. He represented Poland art at the Venice Biennale in 1989. He created a remarkable project entitled “Tower of European unity", to become a world center of organizations dealing with humanitarian aid.
