Jowita Wallner

JOWITA WALLNER (born in 1974)

Jowita Wallner studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She received her diploma from the Faculty of Graphic Design  where she worked under prof. Jerzy Krechowicz (1999). In 2001, she won the prestigious Iwasaki Museum Award during the Print Triennial in Kangawa. One year later, she obtained the Award of the City of Gdańsk for young artists.
The artist specializes in linocut technique. She skillfully combines elements of folklore observed in different parts of the world and then creates a unique, colourful compositions.
