KRYSTYNA JASZKE
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław where she studied at the faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the atelier of professor Józef Hałas and prof. Leszek Mickoś as well as the lithography at the atelier of professor Paweł Frąckiewicz and the mezzotint at the atelier of professor Chris Nowicki. She received her diploma in 2002.
In the early stage of her artistic development, she came close to abstractionism. However, today she is focused on figurative painting. She is also interested in graphic art, especially mezzotint. Her works can be divided into two main trends: pictures of children and fantasy images. The main theme of her works is mystery and enigma created in a world of sleepy fairytales resulting in a unique atmosphere.
