RYSZARD MARIAN OWCZAREK (born in 1946)
He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of prof. Tadeusz Dominik and prof. Stefan Gierkowski. He was assistant in the studio of lithography of prof. Józef Pakulski and prof. M. Rojewski. Between 1975 and 1979 he was a member of "Symplex S - 4" group along with artists such as Andrzej Bąkowski, Marian Czapla, Maja Gumińska, Janina Kowalewska-Tarkowska, Piotr Szemiński i Krzysztof Wachowiak. He was a four-time holder of the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art. In 1980 he received the award of the Minister of National Defense for his artistic output. He participated in many solo and collective exhibitions and plein-airs. His works may be found in many private and public collections in Poland and abroad.
