Kamila Gruszecka
KAMILA GRUSZECKA (born in 1989 in Kielce) graduated from the High School of Art in Kielce with the specialization in textiles. Afterwards, she studied under prof. Leszek Misiak at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received her diploma in 2014. She is a finalist of the 13th edition of Hestia Artistic Journey Competition. Her practice encompasses painting, drawing and textiles. The art of Kamila Gruszecka is primarily based on depictions of female body. As the artist emphasises, women are both objects and subjects of her paintings. The body constitutes a sufficient vehicle for the expression of artist`s own reflections and anxieties tied to being a woman and a mother.
