DANA BUCHEL

Dana Buchel’s painting operates on the border between representation and expressive synthetization of form. A significant motif in her work consists of painting series dedicated to micro-structures and natural elements (including the Insecta / Insektum series), in which nature is subject to artistic transformation and rendered through a dedicated painterly vocabulary. Her canvases are characterized by an emphasis on texture, detail, and organic geometry that build a quiet, analytical visual aura.

In her creative practice, the artist reflects upon the structure of organic forms and the relationship between the observation of nature and its abstract translation onto canvas.
