KATARZYNA WIDMANSKA

She finished her studies at the Art Institute of the Pedagogical University in Cracow, obtaining a diploma at a drawing atelier of professor Piotr Jargusz; she currently is a lecturer at the Warsaw School of Photography and Design Graphics.
She is a photographer, whose main art's subject are women - both in traditional portrait and fashion photography, as well as series of thematic pictures. In these cycles, depicting various themes and motifs, the artist creates an atmosphere with stylized props and a game of light, often inspired by the achievements of masters of old painting.
She is a recipient of the Ars Quaerendi Award for Excellence in Malopolska Region, awarded for outstanding development and promotion of culture.
The artist has exhibited her works on several individual exhibitions, she also took part in numerous group exhibitions.
