MARINKO JELAČA (born in 1954)
Graduated in 1985 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo where he studied sculpture at the prof. Alija Kučukalić studio. For years his work was based on drypoint techniques. Besides graphic, he has also worked in other techniques such as woodcut, sculpture, pastel, terracotta. He has participed in numerous solo group exhibitions in his country and abroad: Italy (Rim), Denmark (Copenhagen), Albania (Tirana), Austria (Vienna Grazz), Slovenia (Ljubljana), Japan (Tokyo). With his pottery works He showcased his pottery works at numerous exhibitions and received plaques. Marinko exhibited his works in Vallauris (France) in 2012, the city famous for being ceramic-friendly, where he participated in a workshop which was a part of a cultural exchange of Croatia and France called „AIR Vallauris”.
